Why Fat is important in our diet

Let’s have a look at why the fat is an important part of our diet and why it is critical to include the right kind of fat in what we eat.

There are 3 big distinctions in alimentary fat:

Monosaturated fats are considered good fats and help lower blood cholesterol, prevent artery clotting [...]

Paleo breakfast ideas

This morning’s breakfast was made in a bit of hurry. I had some turkey breast, apples, egg, onions and almonds. So we made this:

cut onions, fry in olive oil
cut the turkey into slices
dip them in 2 beaten eggs
pore on onions and let it cook, but not overcook as it gets dry
meanwhile cut the apple put [...]

Hunter’s meal on Saturday

Today for lunch we really wanted to have a BBQ, the only problem was rain. Well, problem solved, we put the BBQ on the terrace and grilled anyway.

As meats we cooked T-bone seasoned with pepper and chicken seasoned with honey and paprika. The smoky taste covered all the spices. In the foil we roasted onions [...]

A little inspiration

Now that we went through the Sectionals we can confirm the efficacy of Paleo and it’s impact on performance. Euan has been following Paleo for a while now and we saw what it does to him. As for me, I felt like I could lift mountains during the competition. We had only Paleo [...]

What about the kids?

Children are much more tolerant to all the bad foods than us adults are. So much so that they would happily live on pasta, fries, sausages, ice cream if we’ll let them! But think of all the food foods they’ll be missing out on: all the colourful peppers, tasty fruits, meats and healthy nuts and oils.
