We are now half way through our Paleo Challenge! Please post comments, observations, progress to the comments section. Children are much more tolerant to all the bad foods than us adults are. So much so that they would happily live on pasta, fries, sausages, ice cream if we’ll let them! But think of all the food foods they’ll be missing out on: all the colourful peppers, tasty fruits, meats and healthy nuts and oils.
In our Paleo Challenge we advocate abstaining from grains, dairy and sugar. Bearing in mind that all food intake provoke many hormonal responses that are all interconnected with each other and are being influenced by the micronutrients. So this is a shortcut in the understanding of why we stay away from these products, [...] After 1 week going to the second of our Paleo Challenge we can sum-up this experience as being successful in terms of: having more energy as Ken states it for his part :”I’m finding my system is more steady, less reactive to food intake (no huge insulin surges from the grains like before).
